Audit of Technical Communication
Are you certain that the message received by your customers is the one that you want to get across?
If the slightest doubt crosses your mind when considering this question - and even if you've answered yes with certainty - you should consider getting an outsider's viewpoint. We offer an audit of all your technical communication: documentation and marcom.
What an audit includes
In a word, you know - whether explicitly or not - the message that you want to get across to your customers. Our role at Open Globe consists in helping you specify your objectives and in evaluating what is already in place with reference to this message. We study the difference between what is in place and your ideal, through a detailed examination of your existing form and content; we determine how good the fit between the two is. This allows us to state the message received, and it is often here that the message you are trying to get across changes into something else. To understand this idea better, have a look at our collection of documentation glitches, and think about it for a while.
Maybe you need to have another look at your documentation production cycle: its methods, procedures and tools. This is also part of an audit mission.
Of course, we also identify what's missing and that would allow you to ensure correct transmission of your message.
An audit leads to a report presenting your objectives, the message that is actually received by your customers, our recommendations and if you like, a project specifications manual and a timeframe that will allow you to put our advice into practice.
